Chile and Guatemala close border because of coronavirus

Chile and Guatemala closed the border after more Latin American countries closed the border over the weekend due to coronaviruses.

The Chilean Ministry of Health has announced that 155 people are infected with coronavirus in the country.

Argentina, Peru, Panama and Honduras closed the border last weekend, and Colombia closed the 2,200-kilometer border with Venezuela on Saturday.

Haiti closed its border with the Dominican Republic, and El Salvador closed its border last week.

The virus has arrived in all Latin American countries except El Salvador, Nicaragua and Haiti.

According to official figures, 58 people were infected with coronavirus in Ecuador and two died.

The Ecuadorian government has banned access to a popular tourist destination, the Galapagos Maritime Reserve.

“The health of visitors, officials and local communities inhabiting these areas needs to be protected,” the Ecuadorian Ministry of the Environment said in a statement.

The reserve, which is protected by UNESCO, is one of the biologically diverse areas in the world.

The Cuban government has allowed the MS Braemar cruiser, which houses at least five coronavirus people, to dock at the port.

The cruiser, owned by British company Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, was trying to land in more ports, but was banned last week by authorities in Barbados and The Bahamas, whose flag is flying the cruiser.

Coronavirus was detected in five people while the cruiser was anchored on Curacao Island in the Netherlands Antilles.
