Dangerous substance thrown at a woman in London, injured

An unnamed woman has ended up in a hospital after a substance was thrown at her in north London “during the attack.”

The ambulance responded to an injury alert and arrived just before 7am this morning in the Kentish Town neighborhood. She was immediately transported to the hospital, Sky News reports.

It's not about acid

Police said a “substance” was thrown at the victim in his 30s and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A police spokesman said he did not consider it acid.

The investigation is ongoing

The London Ambulance Service said it had sent an ambulance to the scene.

“We provided medical attention at the scene and took the victim to the hospital,” said an emergency department spokeswoman.

The investigation is ongoing. So far no one has been arrested.
