Did you know that banknote bridges exist in reality as well?

Since 2013, once imaginary bridges depicted in euro coins can be seen and used by Dutch cyclists and pedestrians in the Netherlands, transmits .

Banknote bridges were originally created in 2002 to appear in the EU currency, aiming to represent certain periods in European cultural history.

Found in seven different euro notes – 5 €, 10 €, 20 €, 50 €, 100 €, 200 € and 500 € – they illustrate classical antiquity, the Roman period, the Gothic period, the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo, iron and architecture glass, and finally, contemporary architecture of the 20th century.

Since there were only seven banknotes and 19 eurozone countries, the appearance of existing bridges would favor some countries over others, so fictitious bridges were used.

But then Dutch designer Robin Stam thought it would be aesthetic to build them.

The bridges now stand around a new housing project called Het Land in the former center of urban development and the outskirts of Spijkenisse.
