Hooligans scoured the graves of British soldiers in the Netherlands, drew a swastika

HULIGANS spray painted graffiti, including a large swastika, on a British WWII graveyard in the Netherlands, BBC reports.

Random letters are found on numerous tombstones in Mierlo Cemetery, near Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands.

The British War Graves Commission (CWGC) said it was stunned by the incident, which came just days after a similar event at the cemetery.

Prince Charles will attend this month's Dutch Commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem in 1944.

It will be part of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Allied liberation of the Netherlands from the Nazi occupation.

Mierlo Cemetery has the remains of 664 soldiers from the UK and Commonwealth and one Dutch.

Among the graffiti was the inscription “MH17 lie”, a provocative reference to the crash of a Malaysian MH17 passenger aircraft in eastern Ukraine in July 2014, killing 298 people, including 193 Dutch.
