Kathryn Fasegha’s 2 Weeks In Lagos set for February release

KATHRYN Fasegha’s ‘2 Weeks In Lagos’ is set for release on February 12, 2021.



The new release is coming after the initial release postponement from March 27, 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking on the new release date, Fasegha expressed joy after the revived cinema culture in Nigeria saying, “It is with great delight to announce to you that our highly anticipated movie, ‘2 Weeks In Lagos’ will be released in cinemas on February 12, 2021. We postponed the film due to the Covid-19 pandemic and also because the health of our viewers is paramount to us. I am very happy that the cinema culture in Nigeria has been revived even though not to 100% we see that there is light at the end of the tunnel for we filmmakers. Trust me “2Weeks in Lagos” isn’t your usual Nollywood movie so get ready to be wowed.”

The film director and producer also used the opportunity to urge viewers and fans to stay safe and protected.

The film, a true Lagos love story features top Nollywood actors that include Mawuli Gavor, Toyin Abraham, Beverly Naya, Joke Silva, Shaffy Bello, Deyemi Okanlawon, Jide Kosoko, Yaw, Tina Mba, Patrick Nnamani, Efe Irele, Uto Usman, and a host of others.

First screened at Cannes Festival on May 17, 2019, in Cannes France, ‘2 Weeks in Lagos’ tells the captivating, turbulent, and thrilling love affair of Ejikeme and Lola. Their lives collide when Ejikeme, an investment banker comes home from the United States to invest in Nigerian businesses. It is love at first sight for them and as they embark on a journey of discovering this new love, they have to contend with the political ambitions of Ejikeme’s mother who is planning a marriage between him and the only daughter of Otunba Ayodeji, a political juggernaut who is considering Ejikeme’s father as his running mate for the Nigerian Presidency. His mother’s actions create a rift between Ejikeme and Lola that puts their families on a deadly collision course.
