VIDEO Footage from an airplane shows all hell in burning Australia

AUSTRALIAN air forces have released footage from an airplane that assisted in evacuation of surrounding fire sites over the weekend.

More planes, according to a Twitter post, could not make it to the runway because of the smoke.

And what it looked like can be seen in the video from the plane. Only red, fire-infused air mixed with smoke was visible from the plane. There is no visibility, nothing else is visible.

The recording was made near Mallacoote and Merimbula.

More favorable weather, but new disasters are coming

Australian firefighters still run the race with fires burning in the southeast, seeking to take advantage of more favorable weather and rain before a new heat wave announced for the second half of the week.

Exhausted firefighters are firing lines of defenses, clearing vegetation and burning controlled fires before rising temperatures and strong winds are expected Friday.

New South Wales Fire Department commander Shane Fitzsimmons says current conditions are “much more favorable” but warns that the return of hot days is expected at the end of the week.

Dozens of fires in the east of the country are still out of control and it is feared that two major fires in New South Wales and Victoria could merge into unbridled firestorms.

The rain provided a moderate respite on Monday, but it was not strong enough to extinguish the fire, and in some places made it difficult for the efforts of firefighters who could not start controlled fires to stop the impeded fire in such cleared areas.

Since the start of the fire in September, 25 people have lost their lives, more than 1,800 homes have been destroyed, about eight million acres of vegetation have been burned and millions of animals have been killed.

Many fires are so large that only heavy rain can extinguish them.

Meteorological services have reported the formation of the first cyclones in the west of the country, which could herald the arrival of a rescue monsoon season.
